Our Mission
 

The rescue started as a group of volunteers at a sanctuary. When the door opened to buy land and open a farm rescue they jumped on it. Whispering River Rescue was born and is officially open. They are not only a rescue, but also an educational center for families all across Western New York.

In five months volunteers and the board bought and revamped a farm to bring their animals home to. They are excited for this new beginning and look forward to many years of happy endings.

The volunteers are of all ages and walks of life. In fact the rescue is named for one of the youngest volunteers, River. There are no paid employees. All donations and proceeds from sales and fundraisers go right back into the farm. All are welcome to volunteer at the farm. Come see why everyone falls in love with Whispering River Rescue!

 

Our volunteers spent weeks and countless hours preparing our barn to bring our animals home. We rebuilt all the old stalls and even added two more! New lighting, door frames, and supports in the hay loft were all completed before we were ready to officially open!
